Needed a key replacement, was quoted over the phone by Allen Berry, then had my key dropped in and payment ready to be made, only to be given the opposite of a quote once there, then having them hold my key for 6 days awaiting said quote, with no word from them, ended having to call myself and received nothing but a disgusting and dismissive attitude from ALLEN BERRY over the unprofessional service they have provided. Definitely would never recommend to anyone, worst company hands down 👎

Our engine doesn't started from one second to another so that a tow truck brought us to Gisborne.
Because it was a friday evening (20.12.) nobody wanted to help us and we searched on the following day in the whole city for help without a solution.
We are tourists and kinda live in our van.
Mr. Berry was the ONLY one that offered us to call us on monday, as soon as the mechanic is back at work, to tow our car again and check our van.
At 8 am in the morning (23.12.) they called and checked the vehicle quick and ordered the broken parts over night.
A mechanic came just for us on the 24.12. to fix the problem (fuel pump) and did a fast and good job so that we got our van back on the same day and were able to continue our travels asap.
Big Thanks to Mr. Berry and the whole team!
We are very glad that we found the right people to help us out of our situation, so we can enjoy christmas and our holidays now.
We are sure you get a lot of good Karma points for that!

We went to this service center to check the cooling system, cause we had experienced overheating issues. Mr. Berry discussed symptoms with us and promised to find the reason. "Diagnostic" work took him over hour and half and only found three way hose water leaking under pressure test. With funeral face he scared us by saying that it was only going to get worse and forced us to have it repaired immediately. In addition he said that he could only continue diagnosis after leakage repair for about four hundred dollars (we knew its bullshit). To sum it up, we paid 70 dollars just for 5-minute pressure test with no reasonable causes of our major problem - overheating. Unsatisfied, we went to another service, where they found blown head gasket in 10 minutes and for few dollars. Obviously not as difficult to find main reason of overheating as Mr. Berry told us. After that we wanted Mr. Berry to refund money for his meaningless diagnosis. When speaking about that, his character showed up as his behaviour turned into rude and impolite. Our feeling is that Alan Berry only wants to rip you off so we would never recommend anyone to have a car repaired there. Sadly, we think Mr. Berry is both bad mechanic and bad person. This review was written 3 weeks after the incident with no emotions. We can provide copy of Berry's report and bill.

Alan doesn't deserve a star rating!!! I had to click on one star in order to submit my review suffice to say my parents have been exceptional customers for Alan and this Company. I don't care to elaborate other than warn potential and current customers to ensure the work done on their vehicles has been done PROPERLY!!!! Be sure to have witnesses present and DO NOT take the work that they've supposedly done for granted. Do a thorough check over the vehicle and immediately raise your concerns with him /them! Hold them to account. Disgusted in what I've heard about what happened and how my parents were treated.

We did WOF here as backpackers and no problem. Very polite and nice people. 100% would recomend.
