Bustling and buzzy atmosphere. Staff were friendly and ran a tight ship on the day when there were loads of festival-going groups wanting to come in as well. Food was delicious (with generous portion sizes) and coffee was top notch

The bread in this place is amazing. To be fair, no just the bread, everything. Perfect place to have a brunch with some early cocktails or moctails.

Out of the gate the coffee goblin was sour in initial arrival, as we were clearly from out of Town.
Zero table service from the blonde girl and had to ask if we could order some breakfast after 10-15 mins.
Were promptly joined by locals who met us for breakfast. I got up and fixed the bill she was as nice as pie.
Oh well turns out my moneys as good as anyone’s
Breakfast was 10/10 but could help feel one of girls wanted to spit in my meal so it kind of ruin what should have been a 5 star review
as a bit of grace and a smile costs nothing.

Nice atmosphere but staff didn’t tell me it Would take over 30 minutes for breakfast. They said it was due to being extremely busy (R&V festival) when I went to pay for my coffee and leave without receiving my meal, but it just looked like a normal amount of people to me so maybe that is busy for Gisborne.
I Would have gone elsewhere if they had told me it was a long wait as there were plenty of other places around to eat where the service was faster.
When the food finally came out (Vietnamese pancakes) it looked beautiful but was bland & tasteless. Coffee was also bad. Expensive meal and disappointing experience.

Got the Vietnamese rice pancake with chicken and it was so good. The flavours all worked well together. Highly recommend. The coffee was also so nice and tasted perfect. Would definitely visit again
