From pick up to drop off the team made it very easy for me,
The vehicle was reliable, smooth and well maintained.

I rent cars on a budget. Gisborne Rentals was the best car hire experience that I have ever had. Before this, I had never before actually *enjoyed* customer service from a rental business.
Don't expect any slick, corporate branding BS. You are more likely to hear a bit of frankness and Kiwi wit than be sold something you do not actually need.
I would also like to thank Michalla Tamihana. She made me giggle, too :)

There are some people that are just in the wrong job. The proprietor of Gisborne Rentals should not be in a business requiring the demonstration of customer service and empathy. I don’t think I have ever been treated as rudely as this individual treated us. His behaviour would suggest that he considers customers to be a nuisance and impediment.
We travelled to Gisborne for a family celebration for the weekend, with guests joining us from all over the world. Gisborne turned it on, and we enjoyed excellent service and hospitality from establishments like The Senator Motor Inn, The Vines, The Works, Flagship Café and The PBC café. The staff at these establishments did Gisborne proud with the level of service and care. It is a shame that a poorly run business such as Gisborne Rentals detracted from what was otherwise a most enjoyable weekend.
Don’t go anywhere near this business if you value customer service.

Affordable vehicle rental. Friendly staff. All inclusive pricing, makes for easier rental budgeting.
Have used before and will continue to hire through this business as nothing else compares in Gisborne or out of town!!

Decent price and vehicle we hired was good but biggest let down was customer service!! Spoken to horribly when both picking up vehicle and dropping it off. Would much rather pay extra $$ somewhere else than deal with the owner again.
