Quite the ripoff, my son took his car which is still under hirepurchase to get a quote for a problem he had they took a while maybe a wk or 2 before they told him he needed a new engine which then they quoted 10k my son said no he can’t afford that and that he’ll collect his car a few days later my son rings up to see why they taking so long they then proceeded to tell him they have to replace a one use bolt and that it will cost him nearly $200 he was fine with that this was now nearly 2wks ago he finds out today that they are charging him almost 2k for this quote and that most of that is labour, this is disgusting I don’t ever recommend these people I have never heard of such a thing just for quotes I mean people get quotes all the time but are never charged that stupid amount just for looking at there vehicle, I feel these people are doing this to a lot of young people, because the only problem my son had with his car was a knocking sound when he started it, the car was still drivable will see if it’s still drivable when he does pick it up

I put my car there for my Wof.
I don't really know why, but i paid 780$ for a bulb and a small intervention ( i don't know a lot in Mechanic, but my father who is engine maker told me at phone that the price was a huge scam for what they did).
30 seconds after leaving the garage, all the lights came on and my car stopped in the middle of the road, twice ! The first time, my car stopped on the road when i was turning with a truck coming in front ! I almost add a really bad accident with my girlfriend next to !
I parked where i worked. Fortunately it was 2 minutes driving from the garage. Then i stayed calm, polite and called them for explained the situation and, OF COURSE, asked them to check the car for see what was happening.
Before going there, i never had ANY single issue with my car. So, shit happens, like accidents, it's okay, i just wanted them to look why.
Directly, they told me that it was not their fault and if i wanted they have a check, i should pay for that. I mean, guys. You just scammed me of 800$ and you are not able to check why my car breaks down juste after leaving your garage !
I told them it was absolutely out of the question that i pay anything. The morning after (someone lent me a car), i went to the garage and asked them, really kindly, to check my car and what they potentially did. Once again, the err is human and i was absolutely not upset or accuser.
They told me okay. When i came back, my car dis not move, i dont even know if they really checked. The girl at the office threw me my keys without a world or and explanation (?) and they just told me, with arrogance and laziness, without a hint of humanity, even knowing that i almost killed myself the day before, that the problem did not come from them, that they had a vague idea (they were finally completely wrong, the problem just came from a battery bug when restarting), but they couldn't be sure without me spending money on a real intervention ! mean, i was in front of 3 people sitting behind their desks, but non one could spend 5 minuts on my car i guess.
I had to threaten them to call the Citizen Advice Bureau if anything happened to my car again. It's written on the LAW that you have to check the car if anything happens after your intervention !
The best part is, few weeks after, i went to a wonderful garage on Auckland and they informed me that my car had a (small) issue where they worked. So i needed to pay another intervention (4 times cheaper than what they charged me).
Anyway, the problem was finally nothing, came inderectly from them, and i absolutely do not blame them for that, but the way i was treated, like a purse on slats unworthy of interest without taking out my credit card, without a hint of humanity, was absolutely discusting.
What a lack of professionalism and human values, shame on you.

Excellent service, did extensive mechanical work on my campervan, helped me out with rust repairs with a very good panelbeater to get my van to WOF standard. Did cambelt and waterpump which they quoted on and delivered on time and on budget.
