Considering the start of the day (see review Zest, Gisborne) this was an idyllic experience.
Regular double shot flat white, served with a smile for $4.50.
No frills. No extras, just good hot coffee at a competitive price. Perfectly addressing the times we are living in.

I can honestly say that Raglan Roast Gizzy is one of the best coffee spots I've visited in New Zealand. The coffee is consistently rich, smooth, and full of flavor, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality you get. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and full of good vibes, making it the perfect place to start the day or catch up with friends. The staff work hard, service is fast, and the whole place has a unique local character that keeps people coming back. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a great café experience, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! ☕🌟

I was here several times, honestly because of the neighbor cat and because the coffee was so good the first times I went here. But Every time I went here, the staff was so unfriendly, honestly annoyed that you even want to offer something? Lol. It's so sad because the vibe could be good. The last times the quality of the coffee got worse and worse and I felt less welcomed. That's not what I got to know in NZ. If you don't like to work with people, work somewhere else.

Such a great place to get a coffee, the staff know all the locals by name and even their coffee order- always happy and smiling even at 6am in the middle of winter:
The coffee is great and great value and you always bump into someone you know.
If you are lucky the staff even do some amazing art work on your coffee 😉

The coffee is alright, nothing special, but the staff are quite weird. they’re very unfriendly compared to any other coffee shop I’ve been to in Gisborne. I’ve been here about five times since I live near by and there’s only been one occasion where the server was friendly. in comparison i’ve been to columbus coffee dozens of times and have only ever had about two unfriendly servers. if you've ever heard of the term gen z stare, this place is the epitome of that, and i’m gen z myself.
