Impeccable service, greeted with smiles and friendly conversation... Unfortunately the pies were a let down, dry pastry with a lack of filling, barely a dollop of cheese in my steak and cheese pie. For me the redemption came with an amazing fig and honey milkshake, and should I return this will be the reason, and to try the other interesting flavours on offer.

The Bacon and Egg pie, which I had, was top-notch. The Pastry was not too flaky nor smooth, the filling had its soul at the right place and their service was the cherry on top.

Unfortunately this place has sold to management who appear to have changed the recipes. Used to be the best in town, sadly gone down hill since. M&C no longer full of mince. Handmade croquettes full of flour. A real shame. I’ll give it another shot in a few weeks and update if things improve
