I cannot speak highly enough about the food, customer service, and the relaxing, aestheticly pleasing atmosphere. Our food ticked all the dietary and taste boxes. We had the scallops (photo attached), the calamari, duck breastfeeding, and the duck fat potatoes. The flavours and presentation were exquisite. My virgin pina colada was the best I have ever had and my husband was over the moon to find they offer Guiness. After an entrees and a main we were both to full for a desert, but they looked and sounded divine. The Works has set the standard for all future dining.
I’ve been there last Thursday night for dinner with my partner. We’ve been warmly welcome by our waitress Maya. She’ve done an amazing job, making her best to be sure that our experience goes well. We had two entrées and two mains. Everything was delicious. Tasty and original compare to what we can find in other places. And the building is really cute, make me think about south of France restaurant lol. Just an advice, when you book ask to seat on the front terrace if you want enjoy the sunset during your dinner. Thanks a lot we will definitely be back.
An absolute 10/10 experience! ⭐️ My partner and I dined here to celebrate their birthday, and it was our first visit. We wanted to try somewhere new, and we're so glad we did. The food was outstanding, the flavours were incredible, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere made the evening even more special. Everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend The Works to anyone looking for a great dining experience and will definitely be back again soon. Thank you for helping make the birthday celebration so memorable!
Great place to cycle to, sit outside and have a meal or a cold drink and some chips. I have to say, as a bit of a chip connoisseur, they do the BEST steak-cut fries. I'll keep an eye out to see if they add Pork Karaage back on the menu. Hope so. It was the best dish (for me).
My wife and I visited The Works in Gisborne on Sunday and had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the meals were cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a meal together. What really stood out was the excellent service from Megan, the blonde waitress who looked after us. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout our visit. Her positive attitude and great customer service made the experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Works to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. Thanks, Megan, for helping make our visit so enjoyable!
